Sustainability
Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) NV strongly believes that socially and environmentally proper behavior contributes to quality of life. By taking responsibility for our actions we do not only create value for individuals and communities, but also for our company. Our machines are produced in an environmentally friendly way and the safety of our employees is very important. Furthermore, we try by setting procurement guidelines to share our brands' prosperity with other nations. We mean, as part of the Hitachi Group, to participate in taking on our corporate social responsibility as a major enterprise by contributing to social and cultural activities.
Integrated Quality Policy
Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) N.V. was audited in May 2005 by BVQI and received the certificates for the Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety management system for the production activities in Amsterdam. The Quality Management System, based on ISO 9001:2000, is now extended and certified according to ISO 14001:2004 for Environmental aspects and for Occupational Health and Safety according to the OHSAS 18001:1999 standard. We can now speak of an Integrated Management System.
