HITACHI CONSTRUCTION MACHINERY

His Excellency the Bulgarian Prime Minister Mr Sergei Stanishev opened the country’s 63rd international Plovdiv Fair. The event was held between 24-30 September 2007 and attracted a record number of visitors.

The fairground was refurbished prior to the exhibition and a new construction was built above an artificial lake. This provided more space than ever before for exhibitors, including the official Bulgarian distributor of Hitachi construction machinery, Z&M Private Co.

Six machines were displayed on its stand over the seven-day event: a Hitachi ZX250-3 fitted with a 25-metre super-long front for demolition; two ZX240-3s; a ZX40U-2; and a ZW220 wheel loader.

The focal point however was an EH1700 dump truck, which helped draw the crowds to the Z&M stand – including the Prime Minister, who even climbed on-board! Hitachi is increasing its share of the dump truck market in Bulgaria with eight EH1700s already in operation at the Ellatzite Med open-cast copper mine.

Plovdiv was so successful that all of the Hitachi machines on display were sold during the event and the visit of Mr Stanishev to the stand created a high level of media coverage for Z&M Private Co. and Hitachi.
