Hitachi shows its versatility in Verona

15 Feb, 2008

The European construction industry will be congregating in Verona from Wednesday 5 until Sunday 9 March for the 27th Samoter exhibition. Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) NV (HCME) will join around 1,000 other exhibitors in displaying new additions to its product range line-up. It will be supported by official Italian distributor SCAI on stand numbers D1-6 and E1-6 in Hall 6 and number 17/24 in Area B to welcome the expected 100,000 visitors from the domestic market and over 90 other countries.

Samoter is only held every three years at the Verona Exhibition Centre, so there will be a wide range of developments for HCME to promote since the last show in 2005. This includes Hitachi Zaxis-3 excavators, zero-tail swing mini-excavators and ZW wheel loaders, as well as highlighting some special applications.

The overall theme of the HCME stand will be one of versatility. Hitachi provides reliable solutions for a wide range of industry sectors, such as general construction, quarrying and demolition – all relevant to the Italian and other markets. This will be depicted by the choice of more than 30 machines on display.

Among the new models will be the ZX60USB-3 mini-excavator and ZX85USB-3, ZX110-3, ZX130-3 and ZX135US-3 mid-range crawler Zaxis excavators.

HCME will also be promoting its marketing initiatives for 2008 at Samoter which will be seen in public for the first time. “Made by Hitachi” highlights the important part played by the Hitachi Construction Machinery factories in Japan for the design and development of new Zaxis excavators and other machines.

“My Hitachi Experience” allows customers to share their views on what it’s like to live and work with Hitachi construction equipment. As well as embracing the theme of versatility across various industry sectors, visitors will be able to relate to the real life experiences of man and machine in the field at the show and via a soon-to-be-launched dedicated website.

HCME Manager Corporate Communication Raymond Hendriks is eagerly anticipating the Samoter exhibition: “Everyone at HCME is looking to build upon the growth in sales and brand awareness which we have enjoyed since the success of the Hitachi stand at Bauma last year.

“Samoter will be the first opportunity for HCME to meet the public and industry at large once again. With a wide range of industry solutions and new models on display, I am confident that this will be an excellent opportunity for SCAI and Hitachi to strengthen the position of its partnership in the Italian market."
