Hitachi launch new range of wheeled excavators

01 Feb, 2007

The new generation of Hitachi Zaxis-3 wheeled excavators has arrived in Europe.
The ZX140W-3, ZX170W-3, ZX190W-3 and ZX210W-3 will be unveiled to the public for the first time at Bauma 2007.

The models have been developed by Hitachi to further strengthen its range of construction equipment. They complement the line-up of Zaxis-3 crawler excavators and the other Hitachi machines, which continue to meet the demands of the industry in key areas such as versatility and productivity.

The new Hitachi Zaxis-3 wheeled excavators have been attributed with the same advanced technological features as the crawler equivalents that were launched at Intermat 12 months ago. They also have a number of other innovative features that will help provide better performance, ultimate comfort and safety and reduced running costs.

Better performance

Hitachi has equipped the Zaxis-3 wheeled excavators with powerful, new durable engines, which provide operators with better digging capabilities and faster travel speed. These are further enhanced by a wider oscillation angle of up to 16%, which increases the level of stability and grip on the surface.
