ZAXIS-3: Operator's comfort
Hitachi asked me to test the new Zaxis 350. Normally, I'm not that easily impressed. However, when I saw this shiny new excavator I was quite excited. The first thing I noticed was all of the glass when I climbed inside the cabin. When I sat down it provided me with good all-round visibility. It immediately puts me at ease and made me feel comfortable and safe.
The rear-view camera comes as standard, which is a great feature. You've literally got eyes in the back of your head!
Hitachi has definitely thought carefully about the needs of the operator. The chair was a good size and I was able to adjust it to my liking. When combined with the extra leg space, I didn't feel tired at all after working for a few hours.
The shorter levers are one of the other big improvements. They help this powerful machine to handle like a dream. The element of control at my disposal was unparalleled. I really gave this machine a hard time during my exclusive test. However, nothing could stop this mighty impressive machine. I'm convinced!
